Make your next function or party one to remember with a performance by Charni. She will make your event sparkle with energy and fun!
Charni does a variety of functions for a variety of occasions. If your function does not fit the below descriptions, email me for a quote and I will see what I can do!
Corporate Function or Wedding
You can choose to have a belly dance performance of about 15 minutes to round up speeches or call people to the dance floor, or have two sets of dance about 10-15 minutes each with costume changes and props such as zills (finger cymbols) cane (or stick), veil, isis wings or bollywood style. These two performances make the perfect bookends” to speeches. The first one gets people settled down and paying attention and the second one is a great segue to getting the dance floor filled!
Depending on the time and location of the venue, prices vary from $200 (option 1 and $350 option 2)
Birthday Party, Engagment party, Family reunion, Work dinner etc
For this type of function, Charni recommends a full costume performance of around 15 –20 mins with an optional “come and try” afterwards. The whole crowd will be clapping, cheering, gasping in awe and laughing at cheeky parts. Depending on the time, and location of the venue, prices vary from $200 - $250
Please note that Charni does not perform at Bucks Parties or “a home performance for an audience of two” I am not kidding – I had somebody ask me that once! I am not that kind of dancer!
Girls’ Nights In or Hen’s Parties , Bridal Showers
(for maximum of 20 people)
This 1 Hour Package includes:
- Short performance by Charni in costume,
- Hip scarves for everyone to wear with a special jingly sparkly one for the bride-to-be.
- I then teach basic moves in a fun and safe way that anyone can participate in,
- These moves are put together into a fun choreography - you'll be surprised how much you can learn in an hour!
- Choreography danced to music
- Cool down.

Kids Parties
A real hit with the “tween” crowd (7 – 13 yrs) is a 1 hour belly dance class for a birthday party during the day on a weekend in for up to 15 kids (boys and girls). This includes:
- a short performance by Charni,
- a hip scarf for everyone to wear,
- bindis for all foreheads
- some funny belly dance games like "Shimmy Freeze" and "Hip Hop Hip Drop"
- “Pass the camel” and other party games –all prizes provided.
- Everyone learns some basic belly dance moves which are then put together into a fun choreography.
All is age appropriate content and a lot of fun for all!

Schools and Corporate Workshops
A great way to incorporate both exercise and self-esteem building. Charni is often asked back each year or term to a school or company. This will leave participants smiling and invigorated!
This One Hour Package includes:
- Short performance by Charni in costume,
- Hip scarves for everyone to wear,
- I then teach basic moves in a fun and safe way that anyone can participate in,
- These moves are put together into a fun choreography - you'll be surprised how much you can learn in an hour!
- Choreography danced to music,
- Cool down.

Community Events
Charni and her students regularly perform at community events. Some of the places they have performed are: Melbourne Middle Eastern Festival 2008, Cardenia Expo 2008, Bushfire Recovery Concert 2009, Whitehorse Spring Festival 2009, Harmony Day 2010 plus at various retirement villages and nursing homes.
